Opaque Acrylic
Characteristics & Finish:
Solid high gloss colour that’s the same on the front, back and sides. Approx 3mm thick
Engraving:
Engraves well, picking up fine detail. Engraving will have a frosted white appearance, so looks most effective on darker colours where it has the most contrast. If using a paint pen to colour engraved areas on lighter colours to make them more visible, do so before removing the protective tape to prevent spillage.
Best uses:
A really versatile acrylic in a huge range of colours. Ideal for paint filling engraved words, patterns or logos as the top side comes covered in strong protective tape.
Excellent for creating glossy blanks for mould making. Darker colours are preferable as fibres and dust are easier to see and remove before pouring silicone.
Tips:
When used to create an earring stand, its glossy & shiny finish can be a challenge to take pictures of without reflections. Matte acrylics like Opaque Matte, Dessert or Pastel may be preferred, as they have a matte side that’s less reflective. Its high gloss finish makes it more susceptible to scratches and marks so only peel the protective tape layer off at the end of the earring making and/or paint filling process. Clean pieces gently with a microfibre cloth and then place in a bag to protect from scratching.
Opaque Matte
Characteristics & Finish:
Solid opaque colour that’s the same on the front, back and sides.
It’s highly glossy on one side and matte on the other side. Approx 3mm thick.
Engraving:
We engrave on the glossy side as the protective paper adheres better to that side, and paint filling works much better on gloss than matte & is less likely to bleed beyond the engraved grooves. Engraves well, picking up fine detail. Engraving will have a frosted white appearance, so looks most effective on darker colours where it has the most contrast. If using a paint pen to colour engraved areas on lighter colours to make them more visible, do so before removing the protective tape to prevent spillage.
Best uses:
A great choice if you want an acrylic with both a gloss and matte side.
Excellent for earring stands, using the matte side as the front, so it’s easier to take pics with less reflections than gloss.
Ideal for creating blanks for mould making. Use matte side for matte mould finish and glossy side for a glossy mould finish. Darker colours are preferable as fibres and dust are easier to see and remove before pouring silicone.
Tips:
Avoid marks, scratches & microfibres by only peeling the protective layer off at the end of the earring making process.
Dessert Acrylic
Characteristics & Finish:

It’s glossy on one side and matte on the other side.
Approx 3mm thick
Engraving:

Sweet Pastel acrylic
Characteristics & Finish:
Gorgeous pastel colour that is the same on the front, back and sides.
It’s glossy on one side and matte on the other side.
Approx 3mm thick
Engraving:

Best uses:
A versatile acrylic that’s great for earrings & engraved pieces. Excellent for earring stands, using the matte side as the front, so it’s easier to take pics of due to less reflection of light.
Ideal for creating blanks for mould making. Use matte side for a matte mould finish and glossy side for a glossy mould finish. Darker colours are preferable as fibres and dust are easier to see and remove before pouring silicone.
Tips:
Avoid marks, scratches & microfibres by only peeling protective layer off at the end of the earring making process
Premium Glitter Acrylic
Characteristics & Finish:
A sparkling glitter filled acrylic in solid colours that look generally the same on the back and front. Small circular glitter pieces are set generously throughout the acrylic to avoid clear spaces. The quantity of dispersed glitter may vary in some colours, resulting in some sheets being partially translucent or semi-opaque. Glitter typically visible on the edges. Approx 3mm thick.
Engraving:
Engraving will have a frosted white appearance so looks most effective on darker colours where it has the most contrast. If using a paint pen to colour engraved areas on lighter colours to make them more visible, do so before removing the protective tape to prevent spillage.
Best uses:
Striking acrylic for a feature stud or dangle piece, especially when paired with a simple solid coloured acrylic.
Tips:
There’s a lot going on visually with this acrylic, so thin engraved lines tend not to stand out as effectively as they would on more plain opaque acrylic colours. Avoid marks, scratches & microfibres by only peeling protective layer off at the end of the earring making process
Crystal Acrylic
Characteristics & Finish:
A shimmering shard glitter filled acrylic with an iridescent sparkle. The glitter sits near the bottom of the acrylic sheet, so the edges of this acrylic appear clear and plain rather than glittery.
Varies between approx 3-4mm thick.
Engraving:
Engraves well, picking up fine detail. Engraving will have a frosted white appearance, so looks most effective on darker colours where it has the most contrast. If using a paint pen to colour engraved areas on lighter colours to make them more visible, do so before removing the protective tape to prevent spillage.
Best uses:

Frosted acrylic
Characteristics & Finish:
A semi-translucent acrylic that you can see through. It has a matte finish on both sides with a beautiful frosted appearance. Approx 3mm thick.
Engraving:
Engraves well, picking up fine detail. Engraving will have a frosted white appearance, so looks most effective on darker colours where it has the most contrast. Paint filling engraved areas with a paint pen isn’t recommended on matte acrylic (unless you’re super skilled at it) as the protective tape doesn’t adhere well to the matte finish and the paint may bleed. Paint tends to stick to the matte finish and won’t wipe off if spilled beyond the engraved areas.
Best uses:
Great for earring stands without engraving and for earring dangle pieces. As it’s semi-translucent, anything placed beneath will show through, so don’t use it as a top piece when layering or for earring studs (you’ll see glue and earring pad beneath it).
Tips:
Looks great as an earring dangle when paired with bold coloured shiny, sparkling, mirror or opaque acrylics.
Naturals
Characteristics & Finish:
Consistent earthy colour that is the same on the front, back and sides.
It’s glossy on one side and matte on the other side.
Best uses:
A versatile choice for earring studs, dangles or earring stands. Looks great paired with bold coloured shiny, sparkling, mirror or opaque acrylics.
Ideal for creating blanks for mould making. Use matte side for a matte mould finish and glossy side for a glossy mould finish. Darker colours are preferable as fibres and dust are easier to see and remove before pouring silicone.
Tips:
Avoid marks, scratches & microfibres by only peeling protective layer off at the end of the earring making process.
Mirror
Characteristics & Finish:
A coloured mirror high gloss finish on one side and a plain grey textured matte finish on the back (just like the back of a standard mirror).
Protective tape on the mirrored side only. With no tape on the grey back, minor marking may occur on the back side. They won’t be seen on the front mirrored side, but should be considered for pieces where the back will be visible.
Mirror acrylic’s reflective appearance directly along the cut edges of pieces can appear slightly frosted due to the cutting process and is a normal characteristic of this type of acrylic.
Sometimes glued-on components, such as earring posts, can leave an impression on the mirror layer and show through to the front. It's a minor and inconsistent issue, so always glue a test piece first, rather than glueing all your pieces at once. Approx 3mm thick.
Engraving:
Engraving will have a frosted white appearance, so looks most effective on darker colours where it has the most contrast. Unlike other acrylics, Mirror is engraved from the back side - we actually engrave the grey reflective coating off which gives your engraved text or design more contrast on the mirrored side. We don’t recommend paint filling with a paint pen as the colour can 'bleed' out at the back.
Best uses:
An excellent stand out feature piece that looks great paired with solid coloured acrylic in earrings.
Tips:
Don’t use an alcohol based cleaner to wipe mirrored acrylic as it can damage the surface. Clean pieces gently with a microfibre cloth and then place in a bag to protect from dust and scratching. Keep the protective tape on until the end of the earring making process as the mirror finish is susceptible to scratches and marks.
Translucent
Characteristics & Finish:
A semi-transparent acrylic that you can see through, with a consistent coloured tint throughout. The transparency differs depending on the colour tint selected. It has a high gloss finish that’s the same on the front and back. The sides of the acrylic, although the same colour, can appear deeper and brighter when they catch the light. Approx 3mm thick.
Engraving:
Engraves well, picking up fine detail. Engraving will have a frosted white appearance, so looks most effective on darker colours where it has the most contrast. Use a paint pen to colour engraved areas on lighter colours before removing the protective tape, so the paint is less likely to bleed beyond the engraved grooves.
Best uses:
Great for earring stands and for earring dangle pieces. As it’s semi-translucent, anything placed beneath will show through, so don't use it as a top piece when layering or for earring studs (you’ll see glue and earring pad beneath it).
Tips:
Its high gloss finish makes it more susceptible to scratches and marks so only peel the protective tape layer off at the end of the earring making and/or paint filling process. Clean pieces gently with a microfibre cloth and then place in a bag to protect from scratching.
